The Wireline Extensometer Module in GeoExplorer is used to store data from manually read wirelines.

Measurements can be added to the database through the GeoExplorer interface, or in the field using rugged PDAs running special software. When PDAs are used, the measurements are automatically time and location tagged with GPS to reduce input errors.
