Vibrating Wire Piezometers are typically used for monitoring pore water pressures. They can also be used to monitor water levels.

GeoExplorer can handle data from virtually any vibrating wire piezometer. The system stores frequency and temperature from the sensors and uses sensor calibration records to compute pressure and water levels.

Alarms can be set on water level, pressure and temperature.

The piezometer module is capable of interfacing with the Weather Station Module to determine a barometric pressure offset so that atmospheric pressure does not bias piezometer measurements for water level readings in standpipes or reservoirs.
